You really don't need to read all of this!

This is me rambling and thinking out loud, me showing how incapable I am at making decisions, me trying to be funny and failing and generating laughs just from my ramblingness...beware of sudden subject changes...I write as I think...

"...the birth of the reader must be at the cost of the death of the Author."

-Roland Barthes, "The Death of the Author."

I didn't realize that I hadn't updated in a month. I got back to school, Laurel visited, I slowly got used to my classes, time passed, I didn't really realize that so much time was passing. But in a little over a week I have Spring Break, and then only the end of the year...and I still need to send in my application for my summer job, or there's no chance of me working there this summer! But things like that usually get pushed aside a bit in the race to get homework done. I really hate having four full subjects because I always end up really not liking one simply because I need one class for which the reading can slide, otherwise more important reading won't get done. There's just to much!!!

We finally got snow and went sledding...definitely a high point of life!!! And meanwhile the Sophomores are worrying about declaring their majors and going abroad next year! And I'm thinking, as usual, that I don't want to go back to Smith. At the same time, though, I'm sure it will feel good to go back! I have to worry over course registration and room selection! Reading Theories makes me feel so stupid, today even Archaeology did, with all the other students and their flashcards, I so did not study enough. I wrote a lot on the test, though, so I'm hoping it will be ok! We have a Chorus Concert this weekend...that's exciting. I miss wearing my concert clothes!!!!

Other news: my roommate got the open single on our hall, the week after Laurel came, so it's been a while. So far I now have a nice big single. I turned the other bed into a couch and got a new rug and pillows and so my friends have been enjoying hanging out in here! So I leave the shade up and get lots of sunlight and life is good!! Now I only have homework, a concert, a paper and possibly another paper between me and break. But it feels like we just had break, or maybe that's because I went home for two nights for a weekend and then got sick and missed almost a week of classes.

And it's only 3:30pm and I got out of class an hour ago and I'm already beginning my homework for tomorrow!!! YAY!
